The Odesa Archaeological Museum of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was founded in 1825 — the oldest archaeological museum in Ukraine. Its core collection holds around 170,000 exhibits, spanning the history of the northern Black Sea region from the Stone Age through the Middle Ages, including an Egyptian collection.
